I didn’t sign any of the secession petitions because I thought they were silly.  What troubled me were the arguments people were making against the principle of secession itself.  To be truly free, secession must always be a possibility.  How the same person who drives with a “Free Tibet” sticker on their car could say that secession is impossible, simply baffles me.
